RichJ suggested it was just the right time for me to play this one...lol
Well anyway, I'm in GDGD. Hope everybody has a great day...soggy or frozen or whatever craziness is happening out your way. We are practically sitting in a river...so to speak...my instruments refused to stay in tune, so it's the best I could do. Time for some good ol' coffee...have a great day.

Just love it, Peggy. I've been thinking about this tune lately and taking the plunge into cross tuning. I put Wittner pegs on about six months ago just to make it easier and I keep shying away. Spent about $100 for the pegs and reamer and I'm stuck in GDAE. Embarrassing, really, time to "man up" and twist those babies!

Greg, use those tuners and watch the fun begin! Of course, there's a lot of fun in GDAE too...maybe start with ADAE and play some D tunes.
Ha! I just tuned down to GDGD and pretended it was AEAE. Baby steps! These tuners are awesome, takes just a few seconds with a tuner app. Now that I finally got my feet wet I guess I'll dive on in. Thanks for the inspiration!

HaHa! You do remember I was the guy a short while ago whining about double stops being hard? I've been working hard at it but I'm nowhere near where I'd like to be. One thing I like about GDGD is the lower tuning makes some of the screeching cat fight sounds a bit better under control. Being able to use drones more is almost like cheating. I like cheating! I'll mess around and see what tunes I can manage and post something if it doesn't sound too mortifying :=)
