Grappling into the depths of my long-term memory. Along with many old murder ballads, this is one I usually sang and played at the old Steak House in SE KY in the mid-70s. It's the kind of song old friends used to sit around the woodstove and just make up stuff so it would go on all night with it...lol. Lends itself to harmonies, rhythms, funky words, just fun. Anyhow...once again, I haven't thought of this in, well centuries at this point...lol. But after three hundred and forty-something tunes on my major playlist, I'm flatout out of ideas as to what to play. And I can't just play anything...it has to feel right to me to be able to play it...and then how well I play it is up for grabs...lol...of course. Anyhow...here's sometihng I thought of today while walking the dogs...doggone dogs helped me remember Doggone my Good Luck Soul!
