I was wanting to find a long-lost item, from the late 1800s, approximately 1880. It is a fiddle with a man's head carved on the headstock with a full beard. My gggrandfather had one, it was passed down to his daughter, but since has been lost. It did not have a chinstrap as he did not play with one, and the varnish was all worn off where his chin was.
