This is great. Love the fiddle on this. My only suggestion would be for the banjo and fiddle to switch positions so we could hear it.

Erock77 do you mean hear the banjolele better? That is a tough one to figure out as he does play quietly and we're using a one-mic set up. Well, actually it's two condensers located together, like this:

Actually, reverse that. I couldn't hear the fiddle that well. The banjolele was louder than the fiddle in my opinion. I record all the time with a couple mics and some times moving at different positions gives you different mixes. Again, sounds great...more fiddle though!
Oh really? I thought the fiddle was plenty loud. Hmm. I'll have to listen again.
I loved it.
It's recorded pretty hot and that gives it the feel of a nice 78rpm recording. Also the mix seemed similar, where the fiddle would be up front-ish in the mix and the plucked banjo-instrument would be farther from the "can." While the vocals didn't have that same high gain, they still had the right quality.

Thanks! I really like the sound of a 1 mic setup. What exactly does it mean when you say that it was recorded pretty hot? Does it mean high gain?
Yep, high gain, dancing on the edge of distortion.
