What is a good rhythm machine to use in your home to play backup for fiddling practice? Kind of an advanced metronome, to help you get your timing down?

If you have an iPhone there is a great free app called 'Soundbrenner' it easily adjusts the timing, the beats i.e. 3/4 vs 4/4 to what ever.... between 'Tuner Lite' and 'Soundbrenner', I have no need to carry or use another device...

Of course if you want to go low tech, there is always your 'right foot'.

I like Chordbot, because sometimes I'll add a bass line. Once you get onto it, it's easy to change BPM, transpose, lots of stuff. Never messed with Band in a Box.

+1 for Strum Machine….When I first heard about the Strum Machine I really didn’t give it a “good look”….Upon a more in-depth review, it’s a great resource IMHO…Good luck. ??

Strum machine is very good. Metronome clicks as backbeats instead of downbeats is pretty good.
