I've been fooling with a Presonus recorder for about a year now, gradually taking more risks each time I make a recording. All this got started thanks to Peggy who has been uploading her recordings to Sound Off for some time now. Peggy recently uploaded a tune I really liked it. Then I heard a Celtic version which had a different ring. I started fooling around with it and decided to make a fiddle and voice of my own (BTW - big step for me to add voice). I had to find a key that worked with these worn out, creaky, vocal chords and guess which one it turned out... Eb. Yikes...wadamygonna' do now? Well, the fiddle I was playing at the time happened to tuned GDGD. Awww what the heck, give it a wack. Since I'm a hard core by the ear player, l got it work. But, now having run through the tune several times I'll have to say GDGD seems like a dang good tuning for Eb tunes.
Anyhow, here's the result. I make no excuses for all the flaws, and boy there are lots. But, I had a heck of good time putting it together. And, once again I can't give enough thanks to Peggy for getting me into all this stuff.
