I used a little bit different tuning on the banjo in that I had the fifth string tuned at a "B" 1 octave higher than the open 2nd string. I composed this tune in 1991. It's been a favorite fiddle tune of mine because it's a riot to play up to speed. lol

Great tune Fred, and nicely played ! It's got a really nice Rondney Miller Contra sound to me,

Only other time i've heard of Birch trees referred to as Birks is in "The Birks Of Aberfeldy" by Robert Burns
