You’ve got to give some credit to the Chinese Government; they are going to do everything they can to keep you alive, even if it kills you.
That’s unlike some other government I can think of, that has no regard for human life.
I don't think they care whether any of us live or die, as long as the hospitals aren't overfilled
Ah no, argh.
At least you have time to play music...
I hope you are stocked on food...
(the 2 necessities of life)
Best wishes for a musical lockdown and hopefully enough to eat too.
Having enough food is one problem we don't have, but arranging to have it delivered is a lot of hassle! It's like a full-time job finding group purchases to our compound.
Chinese people don't eat much canned food. I guess it's just never caught on here, so it's making the situation worse. There's little/no canned goods at stores and so you have a population of 25 million demanding fresh vegetables be delivered regularly every few days. I can't get canned stuff except for tomato sauce and chickpeas.
I have been fiddling and mandolinning a lot. Driving the neighbors nuts, I'm sure. One day, I played tunes on our 12th floor balcony and people cheered, which was nice ^_^
Well I'm right there with the Chinese on canned foods...yuck. But in a time of crisis, they could make everything a lot easier. I stocked up on canned goods when the pandemic first started, anticipating problems getting out and supply issues, etc. We never had to eat them, so now I guess I gotta figure a way to make 'em taste good and get rid of them. But yeah, in a bad food situation, they are good...as far as how they taste, I think the Chinese have that right.
Glad you are getting some practice time in and I sure hope the lockdown is over soon and the annoying pandemic will just go away and leave us all alone.

"you have a population of 25 million demanding fresh vegetables be delivered regularly every few days"
Holy moly, that sounds like a big challenge!
Well, hang in there...you can make a list of all the things you're gonna do when you get out...although even going to the corner to get a coffee, is going to seem like a big treat, probably! HOpefully it won't be much longer.
There's a tune in there somewhere: "Shanghai Lockdown".
