Somebody on here was talking about hearing early recordings of Benny Thomasson where he plays the tunes in a more traditional way that is less like Contest Style as we know it today. I think he said they were field recordings from the 1950s. How can I hear these? Are they online?

however, none are dated. Guess you'll just have to listen and decide if they were recorded before or after he became famous. Funny, another FHO member and I were recently chatting how fiddlers tended to play tunes faster and more "notey" after they got popular and listened to on recordings and radio.
