Though I've never been to Galax, I did see, in the first hour, a few people who I've had the opportunity to play with over the years (times are close).

Oh boy...have to plug in the ol' Chrome Book and find some good watchin' time for that.
Much of the rest of that video is flat footing and bluegrass band competitions.
Oh, at about the 2hr 30 mark it appears to be string bands, at least I'm hearing clawhammer and fiddle tunes.
