Wind that shakes the BARLEY
Shuckin the CORN
Don't Drink Nothin' but CORN
No CORN on Tygart

And some verses:
"I don't like Old Joe Clark, tell you the reason why.
Ran through my field the other night, and knocked down all my RYE."
"Goin' cross the river to feed my sheep, goin' cross the river Charley.
Goin' cross the river to feed my sheep, feed them on BARLEY."
"They say that yellow CORN makes the very best kind.
Better go makin' it up into bread, gotta stop drinkin' that shine.
God don't like it I know, God don't like it I know.
God don't like it I know, its a scandal and a shame."

This is a great topic, I've been hoping someone would start the Tune Game again,, This is about as good.. Maybe you could modify the goal every couple of weeks ...like change to city names, or Vegetables or somethin'!!!

Whiskey Before (or, for) Breakfast

Darling Corey

Mountain Dew

I thought about this as a topic, too, but I make mostly sugar shine now. Much quicker and easier--special corn recipe for the Christmastime presents, though

I thought they are a legume, as in "Begin the Legume."

I think there is a fine line betwix legume and grain...there's a lot of ferocious arguing to be heard about amaranth and buckwheat and such...they are seeds...but not quite grains. Legumes are seeds...not quite grains...but it makes for good conversation at a weird nerd party, I mean, once everybody gets tired of arguing about what key Cherokee Shuffle oughta be played in...lol. Just like tomato...it's a fruit, because it surrounds seeds, but it ain't no real fruit...well, maybe though...who says we shouldn't treat it like a fruit? My grandparents made jam and preserves with tomatoes.

I thought they are a legume, as in "Begin the Legume."

It's complicated. They're considered legumes like beans according to some sources but are classified as vegetables, while they're botanically considered fruit. I think a lot of it comes down to whether you're considering the pea in its pod or out of it. Bit of an identity crisis....
