A few months ago I took on a task...I wanted to tab out all of Aubrey Haynie's fiddle breaks in this version of Bill Cheathem...

As it turns out, most of this stuff is above my skill level. However, I was able to tab out his first break. I'd like opinions on how faithful my tab is to the real thing.
Here's a link to the Tabledit file.

Thanks.

Buck, Go to the Tabledit site (www.tabledit.com) and download the free TEFView program. It will allow you to open and play tef files.

Saying you did a good job would be the understatement of the month...
This is one of the very few fiddle tabs that I could read and play at first sight.
All due to you using the chromatic number system, just like for mandolin, making so much more sense than the awkward "1H - 3L" system that depends on fixed positions.
About faithful, I do recognize what it was supposed to represent and in spite of almost 50 years of banjo below my belt, I'm still a fiddle beginner, so what do I know....
Anyway, I saw some (to me) nice ideas to be tried in different contexts as well.
Thanks again for your effort!
