Hi. I’m searching for some tabs for the earliest of Cajun songs. I’ll be playing them on guitar. Specifically, I like the slow, plaintive stuff with that early Americana feel such as Sur Le Borde De L'eau by a Blind Willy Gaspard and the like. Thank you in advance!

Great question, Jason. Cajun tabs aren't easy to come by. I do custom tabs here: https://mitchreedmusiclessons.com/tablature/ and you can check out my Vlog on YouTube for lots of old-timey Cajun tunes you can strum along to.

My opinion obviously, but it's hard to get that Cajun accent with notation of any fashion. I listen to much Carrier Brothers, and Dewey Balfa.

Cajun is not traditionally written, it’s passed on by ear. I definitely don’t encourage tabs but I notate slides and ornaments so it has that feel.
