So, I've started a group on Instagram called FiddleTOTW (fiddle tune of the week). I put together a group of players that are posting a new tune every Friday and we are encouraging as many other folks to play along and post a video of them playing as well! No pressure of course but we are building a community and just want to spread around some tunes. We are only on the second week but the response has been much greater than I anticipated so I wanted to share it here too. There are some more beginner/intermediate fiddlers and some very experienced fiddlers in the pool of people choosing tunes. Its all quite exciting.
So far we've posted two tunes "Maggots in the Sheep Hide" and "Redwing/Union Maid"
If you're on instagram or looking for an excuse to join and you want to come play along please do! @fiddletotw and #fiddletotw so I can find you and repost you!
Hope to see some of ya'll there!

However, I could suggest different ways to grow your page faster, I mean more people to know about it and follow you. Keep a consistent content calendar. Schedule Instagram posts in advance. Get partners and brand advocates to post your content. Or easier you can buy some likes and thus increase the audience of the page. When I need something like this, I buy from here - https://goread.io/buy-instagram-likes . This company is unique because it has advantageous prices and the likes are not from fake people. It is a safe method.
Haha, "buying likes" . hahaha
We've grown from 0 to 413 followers and an active posting community rather organically in just 5 months. We post every friday with a new tune for people to play and I actively repost every person that tags us so they can get featured for their weekly submission. I only got one new follow yesterday, so I would be curious if that was you or not...
Anyway, thanks but no thanks for your advice. Hope to see you playing some fiddle and tagging the page!
That’s a great idea. I think you need to apply a different approach to it. As for me, it would be helpful for those who want to promote their music and seek listeners.
I heard that on some forums, people organise different threads where musicians can share some records of their own creations.
But, as for me, I find promoting on social media more effective. For instance, you can upload everything on Instagram and buy some likes and views to promote your content. Working on unique and popular hashtags is also beneficial.
So, I think you can still implement your idea on Instagram and help young musicians.

How come you chose instagram and not FHO for your fiddle tune of the week? Many players might want to contribute how they play those tunes.
