While I've been in quarantine, I've been messing around with open tunings. It's pretty fun to mess up your fingering playing in these open keys. This is a tune that I have called Quarantine that has come out of noodling around on the fiddle. I take no responsibility for having unconsciously plagiarized some (or many) other fiddle tunes.
Also, my room does not have this kind of reverb, I've been playing around with Garageband and been trying to come up with soundtracks that I could use with some of my films, so I was playing around with it being more cinematic sounding. Plus it was really cool how Garageband will apply effects in realtime as you play, so while I was playing it sounded like I was in a big hall. There is something fun about playing the fiddle in really echoey spaces ... not sure what it is.
I hope you enjoy!
Great tune, before I read your post I thought wow! that room is great to play fiddle in!
Careful there Steudel you will be playing Nail That Catfish to a Tree and heading to CliffTop before you know it. R/

Curious for you or anyone, what are some old-timey bowings you could use to make it sound more old-timey?
I will learn it this week and see what comes out, but I sounds pretty old timey as is.
