I bought some "Super Sensitive Dark, mini" rosin the other day ($5.00 delivered) to take on a test drive. It's really tiny and was hard for me to get a grip to be able to slide it out of its cardboard sleeve. And, being tiny, it was just a manner orf time before I dropped it.
So, my wife went through 51 years of collected stuff and came up with a jewelry store ring box. Some masking tape on the steel floor of the case for grip, a piece of wood to raise the rosin box and a hot glue gun. Bingo. A classy, red velvet, easy to grip container for the mini rosin, perched in the box at just the right height.
BTW, I like the rosin. Seems to work fine and is less dusty that the Jade I'd been using. It's a "mini" and will probably out last me
yep. I've been using an old ring case a jeweler gave me for some time now. I use Hill Dark and I just use the case to hold it. I also cut the foam cloth from around it, leaving just a round shape covering the bottom. I took some bright duct tape and wrapped the edge.
It all works great and the rosin seems to be less dry since it live in the ring box and the bright red ring box make it easy to spot.
