This website has standard notation for fiddle tunes. I really like the versions. But so far I can only print a ".jpf" version of a tune. The printed material text is very small. Any way to print the material and get normal sized text ?

Thank You

Hi, that's a surprising question I haven't heard before. The transcripts are all jpg. When I have the need to download one myself I tend to download the file first, then print. Maybe that would make a difference? The result usually fills an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper. Some of the shorter tunes print out largest in landscape mode. We'll get this figured out. Does anybody else have trouble printing these?

I simply went to the site, clicked on a tune, right clicked, selected "copy image" and then pasted it into my photo program. Checked the print preview and it was easily readable on an entire page.

Carlb - what is the name of the photo program you use ? I am guessing and hoping that it provides the ability to change the size of the text.

I use a program that I purchased many years ago, LViewPro (1999-2001 edition). It does allow you to maximize the size of the image to a full page. However, in the test I tried, above, there was no need to do that as the image was already a full page. The software is now apparently free. I did download the 64 bit file and Norton said the file was safe, but I haven't yet installed the latest and last version (2006). Make sure that you save or copy that license number which is needed during installation.

The images are posted full size so I don't know why you are having trouble. Are you able to print images from other sites without a problem? Have you tried what I suggested, download the image to your desktop or wherever, then open it with whatever image viewer is on your computer, then print? That should work. Mac has a default photo viewer built in, as does Windows.

Also, you said the images were .jpf. Is that what you're seeing or is that a misprint for .jpg? If you're seeing .jpf in the print dialogue box you should be able to select .jpg. Jpg is what they are uploaded as. Good luck–I want you to be able to print them!

Dick, The 64 bit version didn't work for me but the 32 bit one did and it looks very much like the earlier version I have.

Also, Dick, I'd be happy to email any of the tunes to you if that works. Let me know.

An alternate method that worked for me and gave me a full page print.

copied image (right click)
pasted it into a MSWORD document and it fit on a full page (8.5 x 11).
PS When I checked the image it was at 75% full size.
