But gotta run because of fear of buring my chicken.
Sweet! Cherokee Shuffle? Who's playing backup?

I recorded three tracks...guitar playing capoed up to C shape chords for D, bass, and the ADAD fiddle.
Normally, I have played this in A back a long time ago when I was in a little amateur BG band for about three years...I usually had to play it in GDAE, which works out good for A, because it wasn't possible to retune...finally I did start retuning to AEAE lots of times if I was only playing A tunes with them that night...then, on my own, playing by myself at home, I've normally played Cherokee Shuffle in GDGD.
This morning, though, after I put a chicken and butternut squash in the oven, I picked up one of my fiddles that was sitting in ADAD and thought, why not? Started trying it and decided to run downstairs and try to record it real quick and try not to let lunch burn at the same time. I kinda liked it in ADAD...I used to sometimes play Cherokee Shuffle in D...I think because, if I'm remembering right, Oldtimejam.com had their backup track for Ch. Shuffle in D. But I had only tried it in standard tuning in D back then. So...that's my whole life's story I guess, right there...too much info...but it's how I ended up trying it in ADAD and I just put up the backup myself on my little recording machine I use.
Thanks for asking...sorry I wrote a novel to answer...lol.
Nice playing (3 times) and a great story, Peggy. I enjoy reading about how you accomplish your posts.
Thanks...I really liked playing it in ADAD...easier and fun.
One of my favorite tunes Peggy, well done!
Thanks so much, Loy!
