I play the fiddle, mandolin and ukulele at our jam but I don't know a lot about OT music. I kinda don't want to know too much because I hate the racist past of a lot of the music and I'd rather just enjoy the tune without knowing the lyrics or the history.
I am just the opposite of you, Diane. I greatly appreciate the history of a tune, and the lyrics. I see nothing racist about enjoying OT music, especially fiddle and OT banjo tunes.
