Alo folks!

I was hoping to ask what your fav videos are online, specifically for tunes /songs being played in A? (I intend to work my way through the keys.. but.. start at the beginning? :)

Links appreciated, thank you!

Here are some good resource videos for learning some tunes.  They aren't all A tunes, but there are A tunes in there.

Rayna's stuff is great because she plays them up to speed and then gets slower and slower so you can easily find the notes.

Andy Fitzgibbon is a great source with these videos.  They were originally posted for his workshop students.  He plays them up to speed then slow.

If you intend to start at the beginning, than start with God's key. I mean, of course, C. smiley

D is more the home key of the fiddle. But here's a good A tune:

The lady who video'd it has a lot of great videos. She gets close-ups of the fiddler so you can see their fingers and their bowing. Also close-ups of the guitars and others.

I watch Bluegrass Backing videos on youtube. Lots of back up music for fiddleplayers and it's free! you can spend hrs. playing along with bluegrass music.

I had the good luck to jam with MJ & Michelle for a couple of years while MJ was attending the UofA here.

They are 2 great, relaxed, fun fiddlers!
