Does anyone know of an old time source on the Eastern Shore of Maryland? I'm wanting to document and learn the tunes of the area. There's reference in a book called Musical Maryland of fiddle music being played on the docks and at square dances here, but I haven't met any other old time fiddlers or seen any sources from the Eastern Shore online. Thanks in advance for your help.
I would contact Ken Kolodner. He is a real nice guy and should be able to steer you in the right direction.
I just came across this, it might be of interest to you : archive.org/details/marylandfo...e/page/n9
I did a little digging and came up with nothing. Western Maryland on the other hand is a different story... and a world away from the eastern shore.
