I just got the G10 and used it for the time at a gig over the weekend. It’s a dream come true. Worked great, no static or dropouts. I was able to walk around the bar and play in the crowd which was fun.
There’s no belt pack/transmitter. The transmitter is about the size of a zippo lighter with a 1/4” plug, and just plugs directly into your pickup. Battery life is listed as 8 hours. The only concern for me is that the transmitter base doesn’t seem particularly durable, so need to treat it with care.
So thumbs up for the G10. If any issues come up, I’ll update, but for now I love it.
Line 6 makes some great products. I have been using the G30 for a number of years. Only issue I have ever had with it is using it on stages that have a lot of wi-fi or audiences that have a lot of phones. I use two packs to switch seamlessly from fiddle to mandolin on the same system. On large stages in crowded venues, dropouts can be a problem, but otherwise it is a great system. YMMV
