I havne't been posting my videos much anymore...feel like I'm suffocating the soundoff board here and at another site I visit too, so I'm holding off some. But, then, since I have no gigs, no jams that I go to, no friends within 200 miles that play with me...I get all excited making youtubes and then watch them slip down into nothingness...lol...which I guess is ok anyway. But I've been making mostly fiddling youtubes and then figured I better get a guitar picking one in from the old days...the kinda stuff I used to sit around in the hills and play with lots of people around a fire with kids and dogs running at our feet. I had only one Fender guitar, no money for other instruments...borrowed a few once in a while, but that was it...we all felt lucky if we just had all our strings, back then. Anyway, something made me think of this one the other day, so first chance I got I took the old Alvarez guitar...somebody had given it to my son-in-law...he held onto it for years and then decided it took up too much space and he wasn't ever gonna play it...gave it to me. I love that thing...it's perfect for bare fingered picking...mellow, mellow, mellow. Very thumpy, bassy, little sustain, which, in my view, makes it perfect for this type of song. I don't know if I did a good job setting up the mic for it...not very good at all that technical stuff.

That was refreshing, thank you. Obviously I’m here because I love fiddling but we do have a few characters who kind of swamp the videos with their playing, good, bad or whatever. Nice change of pace and tone.
That was wonderful!! Great pickin' and singin'.
Another hit, Peggy!
Thanks, guys. I've been putting a lot of fiddle tunes on my youtube channel lately and thought it was time for something from the guitar.
