Ever find yourself getting bored with your playing..I do and it seems like no matter what... the bordom just keeps on a creeping in. I have a solution for that and that's just play a different version of what you have all ready played. People ask me how do you sound so different every time I see you play. My reply..is that I get bored with the way I did play. So it not hard to make a new version of something you all ready play..it just takes imagination and that something we all have. So I'll leave you with this boring tune. Now I can't understand why I make the same mistakes over and over agin...got to be my playing. hehehehe.

Now I like an octave mandolin no boredom there
I do find myself getting bored with my playing sometimes. When that happens I feel like every lick I play is a cliche and everybody listening thinks so too. It's funny how some days it feels like I'm on top of it and what I'm playing is good and meaningful, and other days it seems so stale. Desperatly, woefully, pitiously stale.
I doubt there's a cure for that. I think it's good advice to keep playing anyway and wait for the good times to come back around. For me, as long as I can see that over the long haul I am improving, I just put up with those doledrums.
Maybe finding a nice simple lick you can stick you teeth into might help
Very nice, Jerry!
