Here's a tune I started writing today and got me a little writers block so I need your help to finish it.
The song I want it to be a country rock thingy..you now 4/4 a little up tempo
The words have to follow the same cadence as written
Here's the word I got so far
Hey diddle diddle the cat and the fiddle give that old dog a bone
It's been three long years since I last seen ya..it's about time you come home
The grass is cut..the bed is made..and there's food up on the stove
Come on little darling come on back and we'll make a little love
A song in progress...any takers
I feel like the first line is too cliche, and while cliches can be good and sometimes necessary to define the genre of your song, I feel like they need to be made a little more original. Maybe something like:
Hey diddle diddle the cool cats play a fiddle, this old dogs been feelin’ so alone.
Just trying to give a little creative direction.
That's not bad..I'll concider
the cool cat through it off time
I'm trying to think of a similar tune just to give you a basis for to start from. It's almost like a Charlie Daniel type song is what I'm after. Can't think of what right now..but I'll come up with something
I plumped up the cushions and stoked up the fire, got some of your favorite wine
I put on my suit, and hoovered the carpet...I hope that you do not decline
I set up the table...with candles and all..and bought some pretty flowers
come on little darling come on back,i even took a shower
