I'm looking for a recording of Robert "Fiddler" Beers singing a song called "Molly". It's not the same as "Molly Ban". This song is in 4/4 or 2/4 and in a minor key. I heard it on a YouTube video of the Beers Family on Pete Seeger's Rainbow Quest.

It may not have been called "Molly", but I know it was on the Rainbow Quest episode. Unfortunately, that episode is not on DVD. If anybody can find that episode for me, I would appreciate it. It's episode 9.

I remember seeing that episode when it was on YouTube, but I have no idea what song you're thinking of. Have you tried checking the tracks from the Beers' albums on YouTube? Could it have been "Mattie Groves?" Or the discographical sites like AllMusic and Discogs?

I've checked and haven't found it on any of them. I remember it was Bob singing and not Evelyn. There was a blonde girl playing clawhammer, perhaps Bob's daughter. It was a fast song.

I did some Googling, and found this page that shows a still of Pete and a "Play" button:  http://www.bwacrew.com/watch/rainbow-quest-20720/season-1/episode-9   When I clicked the button my antivirus software warned of a "suspicious" or "malicious" site, so I didn't continue. "Rainbow Quest" seems odd bait for trying to infect computers, but you'll have to decide whether your curiosity outweighs your need for security.

Its really too bad these programs are not more widely available, but projects for distribution have had a convoluted history:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rainbow_Quest

If you're curious about that link, don't be (I'm confident in my security settings). Clicking on play redirects you somewhere you don't want to go. May just want to delete it Doug.
