Download: ABC
Notes: A 'mixolydian' (A modal - the notes are of the D major scale but the tune is in A. Old Joe Clark is also in A mix).
This tune was first written on the banjo about 1985. Over the years I've evolved my fiddle version of this to very close to what's notated here.
I do a small shift at the G chord (first part) not noted here because my ABC chops aren't strong enough! Check my video to compare.
Note that Mark Simos later recorded an excellent CD with a song with this title, inspired by the title of my tune, and later arranged the tune itself for a Childplay concert and CD a few years ago.
Where the title first came from is a whole different story :-)
