French Fiddle, circa 1850's

Posted 2/7/2009 3:20:25 PM

French made, circa 1850's, copy of Gaspard Duiffopruggar, 16th century Italian maker of the Brescian school. Similar to a Maggini.

What a beauty! It looks like you got her set up to play good and loud. I really like those Guarneri-style chin rests.
