A Fantastic Sounding and Playing old Fiddle. Has good dry resonant wood which gives this fiddle about a 9.8 on a scale of 10 on the fiddle tone scale. No excuses on this fiddle tonewise. I'm listing a few more really good sounding old Fiddles in the next few days. Here is the first one. A fantastic sounding German violin by the Conrad Gotz firm. This is one of the Earlier ones that is real similar to a Heinrich Roth violin. It's built on the Strad pattern. Fully lined and blocked and built with very good materials. It sounds Great. It's a sweet sounding acoustic machine. Deeper tones with power to spare. Set up with Helicore mediums, wittner Tailpiece, Guarneri chinrest. Very close action makes it super easy to play and draw some good tones. It's listed in the classified section and I have a soundclip on my music page. I don't think this one will last too long. Another old Germanic violin, circa 1880 or so. Possibly from the Hornsteiner school in Germany. Looks like Kenny Baker's old fiddle. Sounds very pure and has a great quality tone. Kind of a cross between a great fiddle and a great classical violin. Very pure in tone. It's in good condition. For sale in the classifieds. thanks Royce
