I started playing classically at the age of 6 and kept up with it through high school. In my teens, I got bored of classical and dropped my private lessons. I then managed to go the entire way through college without touching the instrument. A few years later, I picked up violin again and joined a piano rock band (which is a lot of fun). I've also been spending more time exploring fiddling, which is where my heart has always been anyway.
