This morning I picked up the fiddle and a tune I remembered playing with the Druckenmillers sprang into my head. When I played it with them, it was still too difficult for me to get it right. This morning after a couple times through I was playing it pretty effortlessly. I have NO clue what the name of it is. I played it through maybe six or seven times . . .
And I haven't been able to remember it since.
It's driving me bonkers. I ended up skipping around on the one cd I have of the Druckenmillers, looked at the tune lists on their other cds listed on their website, and listened to those tunes to see if I could find it, poked around on the various tunelists, including the FHO tunelist. Upon hearing Seneca Square Dance . . . aaarrrggghhh. It's something like that, but NOT that. The low part is, anyway. Not the high part. And of course now only Seneca Square Dance comes to mind when I try to pull it out of the gray matter.
Have you ever lost a tune that quickly?
