It was a busy fiddle week for me, here in the heartland. Wednesday was a band get together ( we rarely "rehearse" just get together and play some tunes). Thursday evening was the first outdoors session of the weekly OT Jam. Saturday banjo player Peter Fagan and I busked at the Urbana Farmer's Market. Sunday Peter Tom Faux and Robin Kearton played for a pre- wedding party in the early afternoon. In the late afternoon, I helped with the Community Center for the Arts (c4a). I played with c4a's Bow Dacious playing for a contra/square dance outside in downtown Champaign. It was a benefit for the local food bank. ( Bow Dacious is a group of young musicians who play a lot of pop, and OT music ( and other genres outside the classical mainstream).
A week full of music and fun...hard to beat.
