I've not been on FH for a long time and I do want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
Quiet Christmas at home, listening to my new Hillbilly Xmas CD from a friend and going out soon to make use of gift card for Starbucks. Spicy Chai Latte, here I come.
All the Best for you and your families' New Year,

Hi Jan, Merry Christmas to you as well! If you're not too busy in a couple weeks, come on down to Portland for the old time gathering!
Best wishes, Scott

Is that Scott that I connected with at the Centraila OT Camp, summer 2008? Thanks for the invite, but I'm job searching and it's a looooong drive to Portland from Nanaimo, BC. What is the gathering?
I dream of getting to Centrailia OT Camp again one day. What a fun week that was! If you're who I think ya are.
Gingerbread Cake and applesauce for Xmas dinner. Enjoy your holidays and Take Care, Jan

Hi Jan, Yep, it's the same Scott you met at Centralia. The Portland Old Time Music Gathering is basically more of the same, just in the winter. You can see the line up at bubbaguitar.com/festival/index.html. But beyond the formal line-up there are lots of house parties and picking going on as well. But it is a long drive from Nanaimo. Anyway, enjoyed meeting you at Centralia and hope to see you there again one of these days. Good luck with the job search and wishing you a great new year! Scott

Yes, thanks, Scott. Thought it might be you... Wow, lots going on in Portland for fiddling opportunities. I've been rather remiss of playing, since moving last year. I do hope to change this in the New Year with more playing and getting out to play with others. It's the spice of life, making music together with friends, or friends to be. Thanks for your kind wishes and Happy New Year to you too! Jan
