Taught mandolin for 12 years at McCabe's Guitar Store, St. Monica, CA. Tutor at Festival of American Fiddle Tunes (mandolin, banjo). Wrote and self-published four music books: "Ragtime for Fiddle and Mandolin," "150 Hot Tunes for Fiddle and Mandolin," "Clawhammer Banjo String Band Favorites" and "16 Original Piano Rags." Sometimes member of the "Growling Old Geezers" string band. Best on mandolin and banjo. Fiddle is an on-going journey. My favorite banjo playing is clawhammer in the Round Peak style, especially on my fretless banjos. I also teach clawhammer banjo and old-time mandolin.
