I'm a native Vermonter, whose family has called Vermont home since the 1760's; started playing my mother's Magnus chord organ by age 6; had piano lessons around 11...rediscovered piano later, for accompanying fiddlers (chords); started learning the fiddle in 1991 from Harold Luce of Chelsea, VT; I've composed 100+ fiddle tunes; have competed in and have judged at various fiddle contests around New England; I give living history presentations, based on the life of musical humorist Charles Ross Taggart (1871-1953), legendary New Hampshire dance caller Ralph Page (1903-1985) and original Vermont poet laureate Daniel L. Cady (1861-1934) ; playing style: traditional New England (Yankee), with some French Canadian thrown in; also, Tin Pan Alley and older popular and country tunes; enjoy playing piano backup for other fiddlers. Moved to West Windsor in 2009 and got married the following year.
