I’m selling my German (Markneurkirchen) Maggini Copy (Circa 1910).
It is a powerful instrument with a dark, robust sound with wonderful undertones that would do well in the hands of a soloist, conservatory player or a fiddler who often takes leads.
This is a violin great for any musician, whether on the road touring, or preforming with the symphony, this is a fine instrument for classical or fiddle styles.
The current set-up features Kaplan Amo Strings, and an ever so slightly flatter than classical bridge, which allows for ease of fiddling.
The violin is located in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada and will be shipped at the buyers expense in an Amati Box (floating system).
I am selling the violin alone but I would be willing to talk about a case and bow if needed, although this would effect your shipping price because of the heavier weight.
I am asking $4000CAD, but would be open to discussing reasonable offers as well.
The violin is in absolutely fantastic condition. No cracks or damages.
I’ve now changed out the tail piece to an old style wittner with four built in fine tuners, so it is different from the one in the pictures. I also left the chin rest off for the photos as to show the most of the body as possible.
