This is a killer old French fiddle. Dark and deep. One woman who played it said, "I do have to say that I'm astounded by it's volume and depth of tone!!!! Judge for yourself when you listen to the video linked in the "More Info" box. Beautiful quilted maple back. I'd price it for twice as much if it weren't for the repaired cracks in the top. They are old repairs, correctly done and stable, but I just don't want to charge full value for an instrument with such obvious repairs, so someone's gonna get a real bargain. Beautiful fiddle, great sound. This one won't last long!
As usual, it's important to listen with decent headphones to get a real idea of the sound.
