A fantastic 7/8's violin made by Rudolph Schmoll who was from Germany. He did build some violins in the United States from 1927-1932.
The length of the back is 13 3/4 inches. It's considered a 7/8's violin or "Lady's Violin" The old ones are pretty scarce and one of this quality is even more rare. You will have to search long and far to find one better. It has a beautiful singing voice and it rivals some of the better full size violins in my collection tone wise. It plays like a dream and makes you happy while you're playing it. I love this fiddle and someone else who gets it will too. It's that good!
