I joined the forum in an attempt to get some potential information regarding a violin I would like to sell. This violin was owned by my grandmother. In 2011, I had the instrument restored at Frank's Violins in Indianapolis, IN. The individual who did the restoration is Benjamin Parrott. The violin shop estimated the manufacture of the instrument to be around 1890 to 1910. There is a label on the inside printed with "Copy of Antonius Stradivarius Made in Germany". At the time, I thought I would learn to play the instrument, but now I feel as though I should sell it to someone who does play. Because of this, I had Mr. Parrot go back over the instrument and make sure it is in good playing order. I have put a few pictures here, but you can see more detailed pictures using the More Info URL.
I bought a Pro Tec Max Case for the violin when I had it restored. That is included with the violin. I would be happy if I could get what I have restoring the instrument back out of it which is around $700. I live in Central Indiana and I would be happy to make the violin available to anyone who would like to play it.
