Here is all the information available on the label affixed on the inside of the violin: "E. Albert, Sole Agent of John Albert's Star Violins, 124 South 9th St., Philadelphia. Factory 112 So. 8th St. Importer of Musical Instruments."
The label also has several seals printed on the label, one which bears the seal of The Franklin Institute, which has been a prominent cultural museum for many years.
This violin has a beautiful tone and is easy to play. It's a Wittner tailpiece as far as I can tell. It has four fine tuners. Quality Aubert bridge. Unknown manufacturer of strings. Pegs all work fine. New Tailgut (plastic). The violin can be very loud when one puts a little pressure on it. and can play "sweet", too.
Eugene Albert violins are slightly less valuable than those made by his brother, C. F. Sr., or his father, John. These violins sell for $5,000 - 10,000.
This violin is offered at $1,000.00.
