This is a violin from the Hiroshi Kono workshop. These violins are known and respected all over the country and even internationally. Built on a slender Guarneri pattern, each violin is made from excellent European spruce and a beautifully flamed one-piece maple back. The graduations are carefully refined and a bassbar is installed. After assembly, each violin is hand varnished and set up. Every violin is played for quality control before its label is put in. This is a workhorse violin—it can be used in recording, on stage, or in any other setting. Many professional players own one and the reviews are glowing. It punches well above its weight.
