This violin is an old German Stainer model. It was made about 1890-1900 and is in excellent condition with no cracks and pristine varnish. It has had a new bassbar installed and has been professionally set up and adjusted. It has a warm and reedy tone. A higher tension set of strings like Evah Pirazzi, PI, Timbre, or Rondo, would give it more of an edge, but it’s very rich and pleasant with Dominants. It will be shipped in a lightweight case at no additional charge or a nicer case of your choice at a good price. Bows are available as well upon request.
