Old Stradiuarius labeled violin, in excellent condition, crack free with a patch to the A-string peg hole. Defined in Ehrhard's book as "slightly or middle imitation" old where it is not over done with fake cracks, grafted necks or re-bushed pegs. Nice rounded edges, smooth varnish and delicate purfling, ebony, pegs and fingerboard, new Wittner tail-piece. I'm guessing it was made before WWII and sat in the case most of its life. Ships to your door in the original case.
IMHO: This NOT what I call an Old time or Bluegrass fiddle. It will make a nice upgrade for a classical student or old folks like me playing fiddle tunes for fun. Very sweet and forgiving sounding. If you don't like it... sender back.
