This violin was labeled "Doctor Carolus Kraus.....Austria 1914", but I don't trust the label. My bet would be handmade by an American(?) amateur in the 1950's/60's - it does not look like it came from a factory. It has good arching and woods, and some fancy purfling designs on the back.
It is in excellent condition with no repairs. New setup with Warchal strings.
UPDATE (05/06/20): I just did a regraduation on this fiddle and it really sings now. It is a smooth playing fiddle with a strong, even, resonant tone. I removed the obviously photocopied label but can include it if desired.
