Here is a late 1800's Medio Fino violin made in France by the JTL company. No label, but I am 99% sure of the ID. There is a pencil inscription inside with an 1894 date for a repair (with a note that I can't make out). The only significant repair was a pegbox cheek repair done long ago...1894?. There is also a very small repaired crack in the upper right shoulder of the top.
New pegs, soundpost, bridge and strung with Dominant strings, the tone is woody and lively, with good volume.
Priced to sell at $400 plus expenses. Comes in an old hard case (bows available from $50). Please email for more pics and information. I have around 35 violins for sale (and violas and cellos, too) and would be happy to send out a price list to interested parties.
Happy pickin' and fiddlin'!
