This beautiful full-size violin was handcrafted by well-known luthier Vasile Gliga in Romania from fine European tone-woods. It is the “Gliga 1 Professional” model with a one-piece back that originally sold for over $2,000. It is like-new condition.

The violin was made in 2007, and includes a Maker’s Certificate of Authenticity (see pictures).
This fiddle sings with a warm clean tone that is even across all 4 strings. It is very responsive to the bow. It has none of the thin, weak, or tinny sound associated with student-grade violins. It comes fitted with D’addario Pro-Arte strings.

This violin was modeled after a Guarnerius del Gesu violin, and has a beautiful transparent brown oil varnish over a golden ground. The varnish was hand-applied in the Italian style. The premium one-piece Carpathian maple back has beautiful flame that changes with the angle of the light. The two-piece top is carved from straight-grained Carpathian spruce of fine grain. The scroll is beautiful and expertly carved. The fingerboard, pegs, and chin-rest are made of fine black ebony. The length of the back is 357 millimeters.
The violin was recently adjusted and set-up by a professional luthier at David Bromberg's Violins, including a new high-quality bridge (better than the original bridge). It is perfectly adjusted to proper playing specifications. There are no cracks or repaired cracks.
The bow is a new Howard Core CSB101VN black polished graphite bow. This bow features a black polished carbon graphite stick, full-lined ebony frog with Parisian eye, 3-part button with eye, and a thread/wire grip. The round stick is absolutely straight, and has excellent camber. The bow weighs a perfect 60g, and has excellent balance.
The case is a hard-shell foam rectangular suspension case with a black cloth exterior and green velvet interior. The case has plenty of compartments for your accessories and a side pocket for sheet music. The violin case is in very good condition.
