On Tuesday, I off to Maine for a short while. Any old time fiddling happenings while I'm there, say within an hour of Belfast (actually Searsmont)?

Have fun, Carl! I love that area of the coast, spent a lot of time there at one time.

You could go up and visit MudBug in Ellsworth, or meet half way

I remember a group of fiddlers from MFC who live in the Belfast area.
Here's a link to Belfast Flying Shoes (an allcomers band & jam) http://www.belfastflyingshoes.org/AllComers.html
and The Belfast Bay Fiddlers group: http://www.belfastbayfiddlers.org/
Seems they play NE style contradance type tunes and there's tune lists, notation and some Mp3's on their site to listen to.

Thanks for the reminder, Sue. I forgot about the Belfast Bay Fiddlers. I did go to one of their jams last summer.
