So I was going through some older recordings and came upon this Foggy Dew/Road to Lisdoonvarna/Connaughtman's Rambles/Lilting Banshee which I had forgotten about. I generally don't like to play "Connaughtman's Rambles" at the speed I do "Road to Lisdoonvarna" (nor "Lilting Banshee") but on that particular day I just went with it all. And I had figured out a harmony fiddle part to "Foggy Dew," one of the first tunes I ever learned, probably first started playing it about 2003.
Some tunes stay in the repertoire, some are thrown aside early on and never revisited.
"Road to Lisdoonvarna" was played every time I gigged or practiced with my band, Rusty Cogs, and I miss my mandolin players accompaniment. D--ned Covid!
