I was thinking about the Adult/Beginners thread and happened to run across this. The Bluegrass Blog posted a link to a story on NPR about a 12 year old fiddler from Vermont who has played with Yonder Mountain String Band and the Vermont Symphony Orchestra. He's only been playing four years. The interview is really good, there is a part in it when he's describing what he's thinking about when he's playing, in one part he imagines a snake slithering on the grass, in another he imagines standing on top of a really tall building. I thought that was a pretty cool thing to do, to try and visualize the sound you're making. Also I should apologize right now because the interview pertains only to classical playing, but it is still interesting nonetheless.
