I as sitting around this evening scratching around on the devils box and apparently picked up Cindy, or part of it and horribly. What was going on in my horribly discombobulated mind was the words to Rockingham Cindy " where'd you get your whisky, where'd you get your dram".... So I sent a video to my friend and he says it's Cindy. Which sparked that little b.b. rolling around in a matchbox and I got to thinking, it's getting dangerous here, but is Cindy and Rockingham Cindy the same tune and just regional variance?

Slightly different takes on the same song, in my opinion.

You'll find many variations of the same tune circling around in Old Time music. Some day it will drive us all totally nuts...lol...but lotsa fun getting there.
